Národní, Praha 1The interior of the palace is designed to enable variability of arrangement. The interiors are not designed monotonously in terms of appearance or division. The attic of the Schönkirch Palace (the original building on the site of the current national palace) is dominated by an impressive beam truss built on the model of Baroque solutions, which is created exactly according to old carpentry methods. On the other floors, the original elements or, on the contrary, contemporary materials are accentuated - concrete and glass.
The National Palace is in the heart of Prague and at the same time at the junctions of all types of transport. Within a ten-minute walk we can reach the Old Town, Wenceslas Square and the banks of the Vltava River. A few steps from the palace there is a tram connection to the centre across the river, just as close there is the metro station B - Národní třída. It is also easy to use a car or bicycle thanks to the possibility of parking in the basement of the building. There are many shops, excellent restaurants, cafés and theatres around the palace.
